In one of my earlier posts dated 18th of February 2014, I wrote on “WHAT LOVE IS NOT” and I promised to talk about what love is. Well, here is the fulfillment of my promise. Let’s go……..

1. Love is life

God’s commandment to mankind is “Love me with all your heart, soul, and might, and love your neighbour as you love yourself”. This commandment depict how ought a man to live, and if this is how ought man to live, then love is the whole essence of life. Take a look at it, the whole problem of the world is a problem of lack of love. The number one reason people take life is hatred- which is opposite of love. If one loves, one will not steal from another person, and life will be enhanced. Love is the cure for all the world’s ills. So, if you claim to love someone, you must enhance that person’s life in one way or the other.

2. Love is a person (God)

God is what love is all about, hence to truly love, you must know God. He that does not love, does not know God, and he that claims to love and does not know God, does not love. It will take a lifetime to fully understand God, and so it is for love.

3. Love is a fruit

When I say love is a fruit, I mean it is a character quality that we all are expected to live with if we really want to live life. This fruit carries a lot of things with it, they are; Joyfulness, Peacefulness, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-control. These qualities make up what love is when expressed as a whole, and not seperately. A man perfect in each of these qualities, is a man perfect in love (and life).

This is (in my view) what love is. Love you all!!!
